As I sit here this morning reading more posts on Facebook from all my friends back home whose kids start school today I cannot believe that we have been in school for 7 weeks already ... it is almost time for our first 3 week break ... I LOVE teaching on the year round schedule ... So, in honor of the kids going back to school I have made this cute little card ... Annaleigh's First Birthday ...

Hello my fellow stampers ... do not fall outta your chairs ... it really is me ;-) ... I have been crafting ... just no time for posting ... I have taken over as the After School Care director so I am sooooooo busy getting the program up and running back to 100% ... Plus subbing almost everyday ... and PTO ... AND I just signed up to be a Thirty-One Consultant!!! PHEW!!! lol ...

My friend and former co-worker had asked me to make a banner and stuff for a very special little girl in her life ... It was her first birthday and her theme was rubber duckies ... I was so excited that she came to me ... I do not have a die-cut machine or anything so I asked my best friend April to help me out with her trusty Cricut ... after watching in awe how quickly everything was done, I am even more WANTING and NEEDING a Silhouette Cameo!!! I am going to get one!!! lol

Enough talking ... here is what I came up with:

The first thing Patrice wanted was a banner that they could hang Annaleigh's pictures from birth - 1 year ... Here is what I made:

The next thing I made was this cute little door sign ... ya know I had to add rubber duckies hanging from the bottom ...

Now you all know I am one to make cute little candy bags of some sort ... I wanted SO badly to make cute little lollipop covers ... but, little flat lollipops were NOWHERE to be found ... so I opted for my trusty peppermint pattys!!! LOL ... here they are ... and their cute little can:

There are certain people in your life that you just know are meant to be there ... that is what I can say about my DEAR friend GiGi ... she is a speech therapist who our school was LUCKY enough to have work there ... her smile is contagious ... she makes you want to be a better person ... she ALWAYS listens to what you have to say ... gives the best advice ... I am soooooooooooooooo sad that she had to leave ... I know she and I will ALWAYS be friends ... but, to not see her glowing face everyday is breaking my heart ...

I made this card for GiGi to give to her at her little going away party I surprised her with at school ... bright and cheery .... just like her ... I ran around like crazy so that the WHOLE staff could sign the card without her knowing ... she was very surprised ...

GiGi, I love you so much ... you have helped me through some very dark times in my life ... I wish you nothing but the best ... my home is always open to you whenever you want to come visit ... You are my angel :-)

... the Air Force sends you ... as many of you know they are closing Pope AFB ... so they are sending us all off to new places to live ... Hey fellow stampers!!! I was finally playing around with some of my new SU! stamps the other day ... I HAD to buy Long Fellows ... They are too cute ... and of course my favorite stamp is the daschund one ... We have 3 little weeny dogs here at the Haberstroh house ... Lily of the Valley, Sergeant Rusty Spanner, (a spanner is the tool firefighters use to take the caps off hydrants) and their puppy ... who we are trying to sell so we did not give her a name ...

Here are 2 cards I made with the cute litte weeny dog stamp ... 1 for a girl ... 1 for a boy :-) ...

I am still having a hard time with my ink not smearing when I print out my digital stamps ... which is making me sad ... I wanted to use some of my sweet little Dragon's from Dustin Pike ... I have tried everyones suggestions ... and it still smears ... next step ... new printer ... LOL ...

I am on a mini card kick ... they are so cute ... and so easy just to slip one where someone least expects it ... :-) ... plus ... it is a good way to use some scraps ...

Happy Mother's Day to all my stampin' pals!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful day ... this morning Kirstin made me toast for breakfast ... in bed ... then the girls gave me cards they made in school ... then a poster they made last night ... I was also SHOCKED that hubby stopped on the way home from work this morning and got flowers for me from him and the girls ... then hubby, the girls, my parents, my sister and her family all went to Outback for dinner ... we had a nice time ... :-) ...

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend ... I cannot believe how fast our 3 week Spring Break flew by ... I am so not ready to go back to work on Monday ... I could use a few more weeks vacation ... LOL ... only 47 more days of school till summer break WOOHOO!!! ;-)

I do not make mini cards that often ... I am always afraid to put too much or not enough on them ... it is a struggle ... but, I actually like these ... I know, I know ... it is very rare that you hear me say that ... :-) ... I hope you enjoy my little doggies!!!

     This is our last week of Spring Break ... we have been working hard in the yard ... we actually have a reputation to uphold here in our neighborhood ... and not just with Christmas lights ... I think it is funny that people expect us to have great things in our yard ... we had 1 neighbor stop by the other day to let us know she can't wait for us to be done ... she LOVES our yard ... we had another lady stop by who was visiting her daughter the street in front of us and said everytime she comes here she walks by our house to see what we have going on ... LOL ... last year there was a couple from the back of the neighborhood that asked if they could take some of our ideas ... what the heck, sure!!! :-) ... as soon as we are done and the flowers get a little bigger I will post some pictures ...
         I have been doing a LOT of stamping this week ... I sneak in to take a break a few times a day cuz it is HOT ... it feels good to be getting my hands dirty with ink and not just dirt from the gardens ... hehehehe ... I worked on this little guy while hubby was turning our flower beds getting them ready for flowers ... I think I might just display him on my stamp cabinet ... he is so sweet ...

As most of you know we are a serious Disney family ... we always take our vacations to Disney World ... well, this year we decided to do something different ... we are going to take little vacations throughout the year ... so, we decided to take the girls to Myrtle Beach for a week ... we have lived here for 7 years and have NEVER been ... We stayed at an awesome hotel with 2 water parks in it ... We went to the aquarium and spent tons of time on the beach ... it was a very relaxing vacation ... ME!!!

I have been in such a slump lately ... actually thought about selling all my stuff at one point ... but, then I snapped back into it ... stampin' is everything to me ... why am I going to give up something that I enjoy so much? ... I love seeing the smile on someones face when I hand them one of my cards ... or the teachers hugs when I give them a little stamped candy bag for a holiday ... not to mention I have made such awesome friends ... I am not going to throw this all away ... So, I have promised myself to make a blog post every day for the rest of this month!!! Even if I am not happy with what I stamped that day, I am going to share it anyway! So, here is my first card ... and what do ya know ... A few weeks ago I made a Valentine's Day card for my oldest daughter Kayla ... I was NOT happy with the way it turned out ... but, she LOVED it!!! I was recently the host of a challenge for the blog group I belong to ... The Crafty Critters ...
My challenge was to create a card:
- using NO traditional Valentine's Day red and pink ... you may use other shades of it ... just not the regular shades ...
- at LEAST 2 different embellishments ...
- LAYER it up ... at LEAST 2 layers ...

I like how this one turned out better ... It is more "Kelly" ...

My girls always do sweet little things for me when I am down ... the past 2 days were no exception ... Kayla, my oldest, made me a cute card last night ... she snuck it on my stampin' table as Kirstin and I were putting all my new clear stamps in CD cases ... she was so proud ...

The inside reads: Dear Mommy, I hope you have a great year in 2010. I know it has started out awful, but that is okay! I love you very much! Love, Kayla

Kirstin made me a card this morning ... She has been eyeing up my Crafty Critter Challenge Card ... I think she wants it ... lol ... so she asked me to stamp her an Ella Lollipop ... so I did ... and she came up with this ...

She told me the reason she wrote "mine mine only mine" on it was because I told Kayla that all the stampin' stuff in my room is mine last night!!! LOLOLOL ... she cracks me up!!! and yes ... I did tell Kayla that last night as she came in for the 10th time asking to borrow something else ... hahaha ... as if she doesn't have enough of her own!!! LOL

My Little Stampin' Space ...

I thought I would share my "stampin' space" with all of you ... I use to keep my stuff in our eat-in kitchen ... well, everyone always wanted to touch everything ... which every stampers knows that is a "no-no" ... lol ... I also started to outgrow the space ... with us only having a 3 bedroom house with 2 kids my only other option was to move it into our bedroom ... my husband was sweet enough to let me do that ... I know it doesn't add to the romance ... hahaha ... but, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right? ... someday ... once we "settle down" ... that's just part of being a military family ... we will get a bigger house and I will have my own room!!! ... I hope ... LOL ...

Christmas is almost here ... as you all know I love to make gifts for the staff at the school I work at ... There is just something about that smile on their faces that makes all pain staking work worth it ... instead of making my traditional candy bags ... I decided to make tags for candy canes instead ... 120 of them to be exact ...

Scrapbook Class Projects

This past weekend, my friend Patty hosted a scrapbooking class at her house ... she had me as her "special guest" ... made me feel important ... I got to show off the "stamping skills" that everyone keeps telling me I have ... lol ...
Besides just being a "special guest", I also got to participate in the class ... my sister, Patty's mom, and I were the class clowns at our own table ... it was a ton of fun ... I forgot to bring my picture for the page we made so I had to finish mine up at home ... of course I had to add my "Haberstroh Touch" to them ... I added some Stickles on everything to put on that "finishing touch" ... you can see Patty's original design HERE ... and here are my finished projects ...

... I made our Christmas cards at Walmart.com again this year ... I like how they had collage cards ... I wanted to use the card as my picture for the page and put it in a frame so I could display it every year ... I just cut the end picture off and put it on the bottom right corner so that the whole card could be included ... Believe it or not I am actually impressed with myself ... lol ...

While we were in Disney World we bought her the cute Mickey that plays Happy Birthday … we also got her a “Kaitlyn” necklace with a Mickey head on it …

Does this layout and color combo look familiar? It should!!! I used it not that long ago with an adorable little turtle … I thought is would be perfect for Kaitlyn’s Birthday card!!!

Halloween is Almost Here …

As some of you may know … the Haberstroh family LOVES Halloween … we go out of our way to decorate our house … over the top some may even say … (still do twice as much for Christmas … not sure how … LOL) … so of course this is one of my FAVORITE times of year to stamp!!! Here are some of the goodies I have been working on for some of the SWAPS, Secret Sister Swaps, and Blog Groups I am in … All of my projects posted today were cut out by a friend of mine … she is one of the lucky ones who owns a Pazzles … I soooooooooo need to get something like that …

Hello all my AWESOME stampin’ friends!!! I am here!!! Thank-you so much for all your patience and understanding … This has not been a good year for our family … just these last 2 months have been horrible … between me having emergency gall bladder surgery, Steven contracting Dengue Fever while deployed, Kayla and her stomach issues (still working on that), Kirstin and her sinus and allergy problems (still working on that too), Stevens accident, thank God he and the girls are Okay … his nose is broken … but, it could have been so much worse!!! I need a break!!! LOL …

I have not picked up my stamps that much … I have actually forgotten how to stamp … lol … and you know things are bad because I have not even bought any of the new releases from my favorite stamp companies for MONTHS!!!!

I need to get back in the grove … Stamping was my relaxation … “my time” … I miss it terribly … I did manage to get a few things stamped this week … I REALLY need to practice … I am RUSTY!!! LOL …

I am so happy to report that my new laptop will be here … TODAY!!! … after over a month of this … I will finally be back to normal … I hope … LOL … I have been using the new one we got a few weeks ago from Dell with MANY problems … I am praying the replacement will work!!! Anyway … on to stamping!!!

Here are 2 very simple cards I made for my Secret Sisters … I finally branched out and purchased some “non-Bella’s” from Stamping Bella … I ADORE this turtle … he is so stinkin’ cute!!!

Keeping with my favorite animal theme … lol … I was in another Secret Sister Element Swap hosted by Melanie … I had to alter an item for my Secret Sister … I am still fairly new to the altering thing, but I am really getting into it …

Well, I am hoping to have everything up and running soon with my new laptop … until then … Happy Stampin’ …

Another Day In Stampin’ Paradise …

Hello everyone … I know I have been MIA … just waiting on Dell to send us ANOTHER laptop … LONG STORY … lol … but, in the mean time, here are some things I stamped …

I was in a Secret Sister Element Swap hosted by Melanie … one of the requirements was to alter an item … I have had these mirrored boxes from the Target Dollar Spot for what seemed like forever … I was happy to finally be able to use one … I put Stickles and a bag of eyelets with a matching tag inside …

One of the other swaps I joined was a Sense of Humor swap … hosted by Vivian … as most of you know this is right up my alley … I have a very unique sense of humor … LOL …

… last … but, not least … I made this bottle for my co-worker Eric … he is going through some stuff right now … wanted to cheer him up … he LOVED it … he was happy I filled it with one of his favorite candies too …

This card is for the first challenge of our new blogger group *Crafty Critters* ... We had to create a card that was "critter" related. I am the Princess of Critters!!! LOL ... I am all about the cutesy ... I new this would be a perfect challenge to use some of my adorable critter stamps from ClearDollarStamps ... The second part of the challenge was to use the colors green and yellow. Those are 2 colors I do not use often ... but, they are on my card ... :-) ...

Wow!!! I have not been on here in awhile ... I just wanted to let you all know that I am still here ... My laptop crashed recently ... and well, I lost everything ... I could cry again just thinking about it ... and as you know it does cost a lot of money to try to find all your files and get them off ... so I can't do that right now ... I do have it up and running again ... slow ... with the minimums ... but, we did order a new laptop ... I needed one for school anyway ... just did not have the money to do it now ... thank-you Dell for the payment plan ... LOL ... so, I will be back and blogging soon ... These are some Conversation Heart boxes I added some love to ... I think they came out cute ...

I made 90 of these treat bags for the teachers I work with ... it was actually fun ... I do them for every holiday ... so they expect them ... A few teachers still have the very first ones I made them 3 years ago ... makes me feel good ...

I was looking for a quick treat to make for some of the *special* teachers at school ... this was the first time I had made a Hershey's wrapper ... they were very easy to make ...

Hello everyone!!! I have decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon!!! I am not the best stamper in the world, but I do hope to inspire somebody ...

I am the wife of an Air Force Firefighter ... my best friend happens to be the same ... her husband is in Iraq right now ... she has decided to host a swap ... the cool thing about this swap is that some of our cards will be going to the troops that are over there with her husband ... I can speak from experience and say that the cards mean more then we will ever know ... a fellow SCSer did the same for my husband while she was my Secret Sister ... some of the troops do not get mail ... it really puts a smile on their face ... keeps them going ... I was honored to sign up for this swap ... here are my cards ...
